100 Questions
As for me? Thanks for asking, Nbook.
Haven't felt better.
It's a little scary.

part 1: the basics;
1. What is your full name? Amalia Luisa Vargas

2. Where and when were you born? May 6th, 1987, at the UC-San Diego Hospital. You stay classy, San Diego.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) My parents are Alejandro and Maria Vargas, and I call them Papi and Mami. Both of them are really great, Papi is more fun and outgoing than Mami. He's always the one to put on the Tito Puente cd and sing along to it and dance like while he's making breakfast. He's an amazing cook. He works as a realtor over in Anaheim. Mami is a little more reserved, and she's really sweet and caring and always good to talk out stuff with, she's a therapist so she's used to talking stuff out.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? I have an older sister named Isabel. She's perfect. And I guess soon I'll have a brother-in-law, cause she's engaged. His name's Adam and he's already going bald even though he's only thirty.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. I live in this really cool apartment in Manhattan that is all mine! I'm kinda going broke since I have my own place and I have to eat a lot of ramen and Spaghettios, and I'm mooching off of Seth and Jason's wifi, but it's worth it. My apartment is so rad, I love it. I wish I could keep it cleaner though.

6. What is your occupation? I'm a receptionist and office assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald. I have no idea what they actually do and I've gotten really good at computer solitaire since being there.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. I'm Latina. I'm 5'4, black hair, brown eyes, and stunningly gorgeous, if I do say so myself.

8. To which social class do you belong? Poor starving artist.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? I'm a little allergic to cats but not too bad. I can deal with them.

10. Are you right- or left-handed? I'm a righty, but I actually write pretty decent with my left too.

11. What does your voice sound like? Like an angel. J/K. I don't really know what it sounds like, it just sounds like my voice.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? I talk in chatspeak sometimes, like I say "WTF?" or "J/K". Some people think it's annoying. Also, I slip into Spanish sometimes, but I try not to do that much, since most of my friends don't speak Spanish.

13. What do you have in your pockets? Half a pack of watermelon Trident.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I have really ticklish feet. I always knew this but didn't really know it for sure til I went to get a pedicure before junior prom, and I was almost in tears laughing as the girl was rubbing my feet and stuff, and my face got all red. Maggie has pictures. No one will ever see them.

part 2: growing up;
15. How would you describe your childhood in general? It rocked. I have an awesome family.

16. What is your earliest memory? Mami and Papi took me and Isabel to Sea World when I was about three or four and what I remember most was sitting in the splash zone at the Shamu show and getting soaked and my sneakers feeling all squishy the rest of the day.

17. How much schooling have you had? College graduate, baby! All that tuition money so that I could have a job that consists of answering phones and making sure we aren't out of coffee creamer. Money well spent, I think.

18. Did you enjoy school? I mostly did! The last year and a half of college, I was like "oh my god, get me out of here!" but I liked everything else, and even that time wasn't so bad.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? Self-taught, baby. Or I learned everything from the normal places, school, parents, sister, and friends.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. I looked up to Isabel for awhile, until she started to annoy me. My third grade teacher was kind of rad, her name was Ms. Brown and she was really young, like I think she had just graduated college and we were her first class. She was just all young and hip and she dressed cool and she even said the word 'cool' and it was the first time I had a teacher like her and I wanted to be her.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I got along with everyone pretty good. Me and Isabel fought, but I guess no more than any normal sisters.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A dolphin trainer at Sea World, a doctor, a teacher, and a chef.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? I've always liked drawing, when I was little, it was coloring books, and I also had this little easel in my room that I drew on. And I loved playing with Barbies and going rollerblading and going to the beach. I also loved bugging Isabel, heh heh heh.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? Mami says that I was "spirited". What she means is that instead of just sitting in my room quietly reading like Isabel, I was more into taking over the living room to make a Barbie house out of the box our new tv came in, or spinning around the house pretending to be an Olympic figure skater.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? I was somewhere in the middle. I wasn't one of those super-popular girls but I always had lots of friends. I'd name them all but there's a lot cause I had San Diego friends and then Palo City friends and I don't want to list them all.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss? It was with this guy Danny back in middle school in San Diego, he kissed me in the middle of a movie, I didn't like it cause I wanted to watch the movie.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? I'm not. Me and Brendan had sex at this party right before senior year of high school started. I think people were surprised we'd waited that long.

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. I'm a vampire. I became one when Emmett Cullen bit me and then said that he was leaving Rosalie for me. We're getting married this summer.

part 3: past influences;
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Going to Norway for a semester in my junior year of college, it was totally eye-opening and awesome and most importantly? I dog-sledded. Nothing tops that.

30. Who has had the most influence on you? Mami, I think.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Graduating college, I was so close to just wanting to quit and go find a job and have fun.

32. What is your greatest regret? Staying with Brendan so long. I love him, we're super-tight, but I don't think we're anywhere close to what a couple who dated all of high school should be. We're just friends. And I feel like I missed out on a lot staying with him so long.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? I don't think I've done any really evil stuff. I made fun of Isabel a lot, and of each guy she's dated. Maybe that's evil.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? Four speeding tickets. It's probably best that I'm living somewhere where I don't have to drive.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened? This night back when I was thirteen, I was waiting outside the movie theatre for Brendan and these girls came up to me and started attacking me and saying all this racist stuff to me and one of them spit on me. It was horrible.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? Falling on my ass in the snow in Norway right in front of Geirmund. He asked me out the next day so I guess it wasn't too embarassing, but I still think it was bad.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? I would have never dated James back in eighth. I know that I'm lucky that he never hit me or anything like that, but it was still bad.

38. What is your best memory? Going dogsledding in Norway.

39. What is your worst memory? Getting attacked by those girls.

part 4: beliefs and opinions;
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? Mostly optimistic, I think. Pessimistic if I'm PMS'ing or something like that, but most of the time, I'm optimistic.

41. What is your greatest fear? Being attacked again for my race.

42. What are your religious views? I'm Catholic. That about sums it up. I should go to services more.

43. What are your political views? I don't really follow politics that much. I like some of the people, I don't like others, that's about it.

44. What are your views on sex? I haven't had it much. But it's pretty good. It's not something to be taken lightly, I think it's for two people who are in love. Me and Geirmund weren't in love, so I'm not really one to preach that kind of lesson though.

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? I don't know if I'd be able to kill. I've felt like it sometimes. I think it would only be acceptable like if someone was about to kill someone else.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Attacking someone for their race.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? I think I do. I know Brendan's not mine, despite how many people have tried to insist that he is.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life? Being yourself, not compromising your ideals for someone else, just being who you want to be and being happy with that.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? I think I'm mostly honest. It just depends on the people, I open up to certain friends more than I do others.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? I'm prejudiced against prejudiced people, if that makes any sense.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? I'd refuse to kill.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? My family, of course.

part 5: relationships with others;
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I treat most people pretty cool. Unless someone does something mean to me, I'm not going to be rude to them. I give most people the benefit of the doubt that they're good, until they prove me otherwise.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Mami and Papi, I can't pick one over the other. They're my parents, they're both so cool.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? I'll probably never tell her this, but Sunny. She's gone through so much crap and she's still turned out pretty awesome.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. I have so many friends. I know that sounds snobby, but I do. I don't think I really have a best friend. Back in Cali, I'm probably the closest with Maggie and Brendan, but since we all went to different colleges, all that kind of drifted. And here in New York, I've found some really cool people, but no one who's a best friend or anything. I attract all kinds of different people, like everyone's got all these different qualities that make me like them. Like Seth's great for just chilling and watching a movie with, Carly's great for doing art stuff with, Robert is just so unexpectedly sweet and hilarious, Justin's the one to go to when I'm feeling all crazy and want someone to be crazy with, and so on.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. I'm single! Cue the Beyonce song!

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. I guess I was in love with Brendan. I still love him, in that friend way, and that might have been how I always loved him, I don't know. We were weird.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover? Hotness. Ok, that's shallow. I usually like musicians. Even though Brendan wasn't one, he just had that musician vibe to him. Geirmund played guitar. And every guy who I've even just thought 'hey, he's hot' about has been some musician guy.

60. How close are you to your family? I'm really close with them, both with my immediate family and all the extended family. I love my family.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? No way, I am way too young to be starting a family!

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Mami and Papi.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? I do, Mami and Papi. Isn't this kind of the same as the question before?

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? Mami, Papi, Isabel, and my friends better miss me. My plants would miss me, there'd be no one to water them.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? James, and those girls. Wow, eighth grade sucked.

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I try to avoid, but I usually end up arguing.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? Depends on the situation. Sometimes I do.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? I so do. I like just hanging with one or two friends too, but being with a big group of people is so fun and there's always something going on.

69. Do you care what others think of you? Yeah. Anyone who says no is basically lying, I think, everyone cares some what people think of them.

part 6: likes and dislikes;
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? Drawing, cooking, dancing, watching movies, and just walking aimlessly around the city. I just started taking a kickboxing class and I really like that. It makes me feel tough.

71. What is your most treasured possession? Nbook, aka, my journal. When I started at Vista in eighth grade, journal-writing was required and I hated it. But all my friends really liked it and I just started getting into it, and now even though I'm way past high school, I still write in it all the time. Stupid Vista.

72. What is your favorite color? Red. I look great in it.

73. What is your favorite food? Mexican! Also, I love middle eastern food, and I kind of think sometimes that I could live off of Doritos.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read? I don't read much, but I'm kinda hooked on the Twilight series. I know they're dumb and made for teenagers... well, actually, I don't know that, cause here I am at 22 years old reading Breaking Dawn for the fifth time. The books are awesome. I don't care what anyone says.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? I like music the best. I love seeing a live band or singer performing. I also love going to the movies, and art is cool too. I don't really like art as in going to the Met or anything, I'm more into watching some caricature artist in the park or checking out little galleries and whatever.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? I don't smoke cigarettes. I've smoked pot a few times, but I hated it. I drink now and then, not much. I like wine, I want to know more about wine.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? I don't really have a typical one. Sometimes I'll go out to a club or something, other times I'll just chill in the apartment, maybe see if Seth wants to come over and watch a movie like when Jason and his girlfriend are there. Or I'll go over to one of my other friend's places and see what they're up to. Even if we just sit around their apartment with popcorn and a dvd, that's good by me.

78. What makes you laugh? Everything!

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? Racism. I just don't get it.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? Usually I get out Nbook and I draw stuff.

81. How do you deal with stress? Write my heart out in Nbook. Draw pictures of the stressful situation to make it seem funny. Eat Doritos.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? I'm mostly spontaneous. Plans make things boring.

83. What are your pet peeves? Cell phones. I'll admit, I couldn't live without mine, but I hate how most people are with theirs. Talking all loud on the subway, having some obnoxious ringtone that always goes off at the quietest time, or people who have those bluetooth earpieces so they look like they're walking down the sidewalk talking to themselves.

part 7: self-image and etc;
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? My day starts with me shooting death glares to my alarm clock, and hitting snooze twice before getting up. Then I shower and have breakfast and get ready while watching Good Morning America. I take the subway to work, where snobby investment people look down on me or don't notice me and I spend most of the day checking email and complaining on Twitter. Then I go home and either just stay in for the night, watching tv and whatever, or I'll maybe go out somewhere. A disruption to this would be like that one day last week when I decided I was "sick", and it was fabulous. I slept til 10 and I watched Full House reruns and I made empenadas.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person? I think I'm a genuinely nice person.

86. What is your greatest weakness? I have trouble trusting sometimes.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Are talking physically or like, mentally? Physically, I hate my nose, it's too big. Mentally... sometimes I wish I was a little more grounded.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Extroverted, totally.

89. Are you generally organized or messy? Messy in a very organized way. I know where everything is, most of it is on the floor or in my many junk drawers.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. I'm very good at listening, cheering people up, and air hockey. I'm very bad at schoolwork, figuring out a life plan, and ironing.

91. Do you like yourself? I certainly do. I'm pretty awesome.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...) Ok, seriously? What? I think I just do stuff because I want to? Is that even the right answer?

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? I want to have my life figured out. I know that's not much of a goal, but it's what I want.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Probably back in California, but I have no idea what I'd be doing. I love New York but I don't see it being permanent.

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die? I'd want to have one of those really crazy deaths. Hot-air balloon crashing into the ocean or something. The kind of death that makes national news for being so weird.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. Go to the beach with all my friends, go to Norway and watch the sunset, and have a big dinner with my whole family.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? Just for being me.

98. What three words best describe your personality? Outgoing, awesome, unsettled

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? Fun, down-to-earth, friendly

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...) I don't have much advice, you're doing good, Amalia! Have fun in New York. Maybe get yourself a real relationship, that's about it.
